Volvo T8 (Plug-in Hybrid) reliability Does anyone here have a T8 engine with a good enough amount of mileage to vouch for their reliability? I want a Volvo XC60 T8 because their non-plug-in hybrids have pretty rough gas mileage. I've seen an article that said specifically that the XC60 T8 has awful reliability.

Has anyone had any luck replacing the On Call battery in their current model Volvo? I have a 2018 V90, and am getting the annoying “Volvo On Call Service Required” message on the dashboard. I don’t think it’s a modem issue since my understanding is my model year has a 4G modem. I’d like to replace the battery myself if possible.

While driving around, A/C has started to give out and not blow cold, took it in, they said it was a leaking Evaporator and they quoted $4300 for the replacement at the local Volvo dealer. From what I understand the dash has to come out and that's most of the labor.

I'm pretty sure this generation of XC90 is currently at the top of the list in the insurance industry's primary safety metric, deaths per 10,000,000 vehicle- miles. I noticed that Volvo gives a standard 5 year unlimited mile warranty, upgradeable to 10 years, with their certified pre-owned cars. That's a lot better than the standard Volvo new car warranty of 50,000 miles or 4 years. What gives?
