Agree with Long - DTS is designed for highway cruising and comfort whereas the CTS is built for handling and "sporty" performance over comfort. DTS seats are waaaay more comfortable than the CTS ones (for example). And then there's the FWD vs RWD/AWD debate which is irrelevant if you the car's properties don't work for you.

The DTS offers better visibility and many small, but appreciated, features (aesthetics, heated steering wheel, engine tone, radio with 30 presets, etc.). Coming from a Buick Park Avenue, the Cadillac is familiar, old, technology (G-platform, FWD GM 4-speed automatic, etc.). That said, I don’t mind the firmer feel of the Taurus.

Re: 2006 DTS check engine light, service stabilitrak and service traction control HEL Check the intake manifold bolts as grunion said and also check the hidden un-unsed and capped nipple down and to the left of the power steering pump which is also on the intake manifold - they are prone to splitting and was the cause of my own exact same issue.
